Japanese Knotweed is an aggressive, invasive plant imported to North America the late 19th century. Its stalks resemble bamboo but are much softer and can easily be cut or broken with a weed whip. This blog summarises the research work conducted on the ecology and biology of the endemic Australian fish weedy seadragon Phyllopteryx taeniolatus from 2001 to 2009. The research was conducted by Jaime Sanchez-Camara and photos were taken by Juan Fritschi, both marine biologists of the Spanish company Aquadec Aquariums S. Work was supervised by Prof. Project funded by The Sydney Aquarium Conservation Fund.
